DakDak lets businesses message their customers on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram using the business's own connected accounts. This policy sets out what you may and may not do. It applies to everyone who uses DakDak. By using DakDak you agree to follow it, along with Meta's and WhatsApp's own rules. If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account.
Your use of DakDak is also governed by the policies of the platforms you connect. You are responsible for reading and following them:
Where those policies are stricter than this one, they apply.
You must collect a clear opt-in from a person before you message them, using a method that names your business and states that they will receive messages from you on that channel. Keep a record of how and when opt-in was obtained. Do not message people who have not opted in.
On WhatsApp, you may send free-form messages only within 24 hours of a customer's last message to you. Outside that window you may only send pre-approved message templates in the correct category (Marketing, Utility, or Authentication). Do not miscategorise templates, for example sending promotional content in a utility or authentication template.
If a person asks to stop receiving messages, or blocks or reports your number, stop messaging them. Do not try to reach the same person from another number to get around an opt-out or block.
You may only connect WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram accounts that belong to your business. Do not share, rent, or borrow numbers, and do not impersonate another business or person. Your displayed business name and information must be accurate.
You may not use DakDak to promote or sell goods and services prohibited by the WhatsApp Commerce Policy or by law, including but not limited to: alcohol, tobacco and vaping products, weapons, ammunition and explosives, illegal or recreational drugs, adult content and services, gambling where restricted, counterfeit goods, and unsafe supplements. You may not send content that is deceptive, fraudulent, hateful, harassing, or otherwise unlawful.
Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, chain messages, or repeated unwanted messages. Maintain a good quality rating and stay within your messaging limits. Sending patterns that lead to blocks and reports may get your number restricted by Meta.
When you use DakDak, you control your customers' data and you are responsible for having a lawful basis to process it and for meeting your obligations under applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where relevant, the GDPR. DakDak processes that data on your behalf to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page.
We may review usage for compliance and may warn, restrict, suspend, or close accounts that break this policy or Meta's rules, with or without notice where the risk requires it. Meta may independently restrict or ban an account or number for policy violations, and we cannot override those decisions.
